Our Story
PTPA is supportive alliance working to shape a multi-faceted intergenerational community in Port Townsend. Together we gathered the visions of our town to help transform a 13-acre parcel into a place where all ages can live together. Elders have experience and wisdom to share with the energy and enthusiasm of youth. Together they can bring about joy and a more rewarding life for the citizens of our town.
PTPA is family owned. Several brothers and a sister obtained the largest tract of land within the heart of the city to bring about this vision. The family watched their parents age here in Port Townsend and understand that community involved elders have more and brighter years. Having purpose and interaction in life are keys to happiness for all generations.
Celine Santiago, the Managing Member of PTPA and Teri Nomura, the daughter of the previous owner, worked together to meld their aligning visions to bring about the multi-faceted intergenerational community.
The PTPA Development Team continues the work of creating the Planned Unit Development*. The goals focus on a wholistic and diverse mixed-use community while addressing local needs for a more resilient tomorrow.
We aim to preserve a community by upholding its cultural presence and honoring the connection to one another and the environment in which we live. It is clear to us that the fulfillment of this vision is only possible through an alliance with the Port Townsend community.
* Planned Unit Development: a designed grouping of both varied and compatible land uses such as housing, recreation, and commercial within a parcel of land.
